GETTING STARTED

To get the design process started, all you need is a basic concept of what you envision for your home. Peggy will meet personally with each client to help determine specific wants and needs, and is able to adapt your house plans to fit your lifestyle.

The New Home Worksheet will help you get started thinking about some of the questions that will need to be answered in the first meeting. Additionally, you will be sent a copy of the contract that is required for design services. It explains the fee’s as well as the design process. A deposit is required to initiate the design process.

The first meeting is typically at the lot to discuss view, orientation and topography of the lot, etc… From there, we will sit down to discuss your wish list and come up with a general concept for the design. By offering our very customized service, we are proud of our successful results with our clients. Most often our preliminary plans will require very few changes.

Fee’s are based on total covered area of the home, as well as the complexity of the design. The deposit is collected prior to the design phase and the balance is due at the time we proceed to the construction drawings. The entire process typically takes a minimum of ten weeks, depending on the difficulty of the design.
